A chiropractic adjustment, is the primary form of care provided by traditional Doctors of Chiropractic (DC's).

Chiropractic adjustments relieve pressure on joints and discs, reduces inflammation, and most importantly improves nerve function. It has been a trusted form of treatment since the ancient Greek Hippocrates documented manipulative techniques in his writings back in 1500 B.C. Today, spinal adjustments are used to help conditions such as allergies, menstrual cramps and headaches.

How Do Spinal Adjustments Work?

There are well over 100 types of adjustment techniques used by chiropractors throughout the world. Some practitioners may use more aggressive mobilizing techniques, while others us more passive techniques which are more gentle. Regardless of how they are performed, these techniques are intended to correct spinal dysfunction with the objectives of restoring normal function and achieving optimal health.

Dr. Riebesell is trained in a wide variety of adjusting techniques. He tailors the technique to each individual patient based on what will be most effective in getting the best results and outcome, as well as the patient's comfort level with that technique.

When vertebrae shift out of place, there is an overall systemic response from the muscular system to the central nervous system. Without proper alignment and flow, our nerves, our immune system, and our minds cannot function at their highest peak.

Overall, spinal adjustments are an excellent way to keep the body functioning at its highest level without any discomfort. When the body is adequately aligned, it becomes able to respond and perform as it was built to do.

While the main focus of chiropractic care is concentrated on the spine and making sure the vertebrae are aligned properly, we also specialize in adjustments of the upper & lower extremities & TMJ, as well as exercise, stretching and nutritional recommendations.

We ensure that all patients progress is carefully monitored with regular re-evaluations.
